Today’s Thoughts:

Today I’m going to be completely honest…it was not a good day. Rather it hasn’t been a great week overall for a couple of reasons. The first is that both of my grandma’s were admitted into the hospital with not feeling well and they were given unfortunate news regarding their health. My grandmother on my mom’s side had a very significant procedure on her stomach and she was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. My other grandmother on my dad’s side was diagnosed with a mass on her liver and was in active heart failure. Then today I received a call from my care coordinator who oversees my 24-hour nursing care and she informed me that insurance was going to be taking my nurses away from me until the 1st of the new year. All and all it has not been a very good time for me and my family as we’ve been through a bunch of things. But I found a scripture verse that relates to this situation and it comes from 1 Peter 5:6-7: "Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that He may exalt you at the proper time, having cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares about you." This reminds me that with all of the anxiety that comes with all the unfortunate incidents that we can lay our anxieties to God because he loves us and he will never leave us nor forsake us.

Myself in the ICU after my surgery in 2014!

I posted these 2 pictures as a reflection of how God has blessed me with an amazing family and 10 years of an amazing testimony to which I get to share the gospel through my disability.
