New Year Obligations Part 2: God the Father is Light!

In my previous post, I shared my thoughts on a blog series that emphasizes the urgent need to unite our nation and revive the gospel of Jesus Christ. I discussed the lessons found in the book of 1 John, which provide essential guidance on how to resist the temptations of our sinful nature. I believe that delving deeper into the teachings of the Apostle John will be crucial for this series. Recently, I addressed the issue of misplaced worship in the realms of sports and entertainment. Today, I want to focus on an important truth: God the Father is Light.

John highlights the dangers of false teachings that have infiltrated the churches during his time, particularly the denial of Christ's resurrection. In 1 John 1:5, he describes God as Light, reminding us that our Heavenly Father embodies everything that is good and pure. As we reflect on our current generation, it is crucial for us to fulfill our calling from Christ and to share the gospel with both truth and love.

During His time on Earth, Jesus interacted with a diverse range of individuals, each with their own beliefs. He preached in a way that welcomed people into faith rather than alienating them. Our mission today is to lovingly draw others to Christ through the gospel message, without imposing doctrine on them.

The reason why I’m mentioning the story in the book of 1 John and the Gospel of Jesus, which are the first four books of the New Testament (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John), is that while Jesus, again, was on Earth preaching, like John the Apostle, Christ was employing that God the Father is the only Heavenly figure who we must place our faith in and that there’s no other way to get to Him except through Christ Jesus, and that’s what we, as a nation, need to do to bring everyone together.
