My Thoughts on Today:

Today was filled with a lot of same old stuff. Went to my wound care appointment this morning to take care of a chronic wound that I’ve been dealing with for well a good portion of the year. The doctor and I discussed the possibility of using a hyperbaric chamber and doing sessions to see if that’ll help and another possible option is to do a skin flap which is essentially similar to a skin graft. Mom, one of my home health nurses, and I are going to drive to the University of Birmingham-Alabama on the 23rd to meet with some surgeons to see if they recommend doing a flap. This is really a huge decision to make because of the extensive recovery process afterwards and how my mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing will be being away from home alone that long. I’ve just been praying that God gives me wisdom to make the right decision.
